I wish you guys could come hear Alyssa Park play Tzigane tomorrow at Disney Hall in Los Angeles. She is playing a benefit concert for the Koreatown Youth and Community Center, and guess who is bringing up the back of the second violins...yes, you guessed it. I'm very happy, as it's the first time I've played in Disney Hall, unless you want to count the five minutes I was on stage for my LA Philharmonic audition last year...

The group playing with her is called the "Korean American Symphony" but it looks a lot like the New West Symphony. Only a few members and the conductor, Jong-Hoon Bae, is Korean, as is Alyssa. At any rate, she plays a smokin' hot Tzigane, it is just fantastic. Disney Hall is sold out, too!

Laurie, this sounds great. I know you'll play well, and I hope you'll have fun, too.
