The Sphinx Competition is a national competition in the U.S. for Black and Latinx classical string players. Finalists in both divisions have the opportunity to perform with the Sphinx Symphony Orchestra and compete for $100,000 in prizes, including the top Robert F. Smith Prize.
The jury for the 2023 competition includes Zuill Bailey, Joseph Conyers, Juan-Miguel Hernandez, Patrice Jackson, Jennifer Koh, Michael Kondziolka and Erik Ronmark.
