I am a retired Mechanical Designer, a car guy with a minor in music. And wannabe fiddle maker. Was a member of the Catgut Acoustical Society for the last three years of that organization. I played violin in school orchestra and took private lessons through Junior High. Then put the violin down for fifty years. In church, I was encouraged to play hymns a year and a half ago which I found out that I can do. But my primary interest is in the machine called violin.
In May of 2010 I purchased one of Robert J. Spear's imported Mezzo Violins. It was my desire to experience the product of CAS research. No disappointment.
