Steve Jones

I have been an amateur violinist since the 1960's (violist since 1980) and have played in many, many orchestras first in Cambridge (UK), later in London and most recently in Maidstone where I was principal second violin for 12 years. My working life was as a clinical scientist at London's National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.

Since retirement I have concentrated on chamber music. Apart from social string quartet gatherings I have transcribed manuscript works of several 19th and 20th century British composers, publishing them on imslp.org where I also post string quartet arrangements and multi-tracked recordings of these and other neglected chamber works
